Brand Collective Migrates 19 Brands to Shopify

Brand Collective, one of Australia’s largest retail groups, has consolidated its digital operations by migrating 19 of its direct-to-consumer brands onto Shopify.

The company, which manages labels such as Canada Goose, Reebok, Superdry, Champion, Hush Puppies, Shoes & Sox and Elka Collective, worked with digital agency partner DotCollective to streamline its ecommerce systems.

The shift has halved brand launch times from six months to three.

With Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, and one-page checkout, Brand Collective has also transformed the customer checkout experience.

That has delivered a 15–25% lift in conversion rates and a 99% reduction in fraud-related chargebacks.

Aaron Gard, Group General Manager of Digital and Ecommerce at Brand Collective, said the move was all about speed and focus.

“Migrating our entire portfolio onto Shopify has given us that foundation, but it’s our team’s ability to make the most of it that’s driving the real results,” he said.

“We’re now launching brands in record time, optimising customer journeys, and focusing more energy on growth than on maintenance.”

The overhaul follows the 2022 merger of Brand Collective with PAS Group.

That merger spurred the decision to move away from fragmented legacy platforms and create a unified digital infrastructure.

According to Shopify, the new setup has cut IT overheads by 60 per cent.

With reusable frameworks and shared workflows, the group now has a common architecture to govern its diverse portfolio.

Shopify APAC & Japan Managing Director Shaun Broughton says the new partnership highlights how retailers can simplify their digital strategies.

“By unifying their brands on our platform, Brand Collective has embraced a more agile way of working, one that removes complexity, accelerates execution, and unlocks growth,” he said.
